Hello!
Welcome to the website of Andrew P. Turner. I am a theoretical physicist, seeking roles solving interesting and challenging problems in physics and computer science.
My background is in high energy theory, specializing in supergravity and string geometry. I received my PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and have 5 years additional experience in advanced postdoctoral research, working in the areas of supergravity, F-theory and heterotic string theory, and quantum information.
I have substantial experience using computational tools and developing software to facilitate physics research, including designing and implementing a module (FTheoryTools) for the open-source computer algebra system OSCAR, as well as using machine learning for physics applications.
I also have expertise in algebraic geometry, topology, Lie groups/algebra theory, quantum mechanics and quantum field theory, and quantum information.
